Marriage License. The Couple agrees and acknowledges that is it their sole responsibility to obtain and bring the Marriage License to the ceremony along with government-issued identification. Failure to have the Marriage License and government-issued identification at the ceremony means the ceremony conducted by the Officiant is symbolic only and does not create a legally binding marriage in the State of California. Failure to present the Marriage License to the Officiant means all legally-binding language, such as but not limited to "marriage", "husband", "wife", "married", "wed", "newlyweds", "Mr. and Mrs.", "Mr. and Mr.", "Mrs. and Mrs." as applicable will be struck from the ceremony and replaced with non-legal words such as "union", "commitment", "partners", etc. If the ceremony is done symbolically, the Couple may have the Officiant perform a private legal ceremony at a later time for an additional fee of $100 payable upon scheduling the legal ceremony. The Couple also agrees to provide (if applicable) witness(es) to sign their marriage license.

The Officiant will file the marriage license via USPS as pursuant to California Family Code Section 359(f). The Couple may not file the marriage license themselves as legal responsibility of filing the marriage license is put on the Officiant by California Family Code Section 359(e).

If the marriage license is rejected or is not received by the County Clerk, the Officiant will work cooperatively with the Couple to resolve the issue. Cost for an amendment or replacement marriage license, if any, due to erasures, white-outs, stains, tears, or other alterations will be assumed by the Couple. The Officiant will assume the cost of the amendment or replacement marriage license only if there is an erasure, strikeout, white-out, tear, or stain in the Certification of Person Solemnizing Marriage section on the corresponding boxes (public license: boxes 28A through 29E; confidential license: boxes 27A through 28E) on the marriage license.

If the Couple does not need the Officiant to complete the marriage license information (e.g. for a non-legal commitment ceremony or renewal of vows), no discount will be given.

Rehearsal. No rehearsal is included in this ceremony package. It is the couple's responsibility to guide and coordinate the bridal group the day of the ceremony. If the Officiant must step-in to assist the wedding party due to poor planning on the day of the ceremony, a $150.00 fee will apply and will be payable at that time. Couple is advised to invest in a rehearsal if in doubt (if applicable). This service and fee will only apply with the consent of the couple prior to surrendering services. It is recommended for the couple to use the venue's coordinator.

Payment may also be accepted over the phone by calling (909) 489-1022. It is the responsibility of the Couple to make sure the payment is accepted. A receipt will be given to Couple upon payment received.

Change to Ceremony Reservation. Any change to time and date must be disclosed in advance and approved by Officiant. Contract does not include relocating to another address/venue unless a new contract is made outside of the terms of Churon Winery. The contract may be cancelled or amended due to changes. If circumstances cause the Couple to postpone the ceremony to another date, the Officiant will make every attempt to accommodate the new date (base on availability).

Delayed Ceremony Fees. The couple has fifteen (15) minutes from the scheduled time to start the ceremony. If by no fault of the Officiant the ceremony starts fifteen (15) minutes or more after the ceremony time for any reason including but not limited to weather, delays caused by other vendors, the late arrival of guests or wedding party, a late fee of $25.00 for every fifteen (15) minute increment will begin until the ceremony starts. These fees are due prior to ceremony starting or no ceremony will be performed. In the very unlikely event an extremely excessive delay results in the officiant’s schedule making it impossible for the Officiant to remain on-site, the couple will not hold the Officiant liable.

Marriage Vows. Officiant agrees to provide the Couple at no additional charge a marriage vow template and samples. The Couple may piece together a ceremony of their liking, using the samples OR write their ceremony completely on their own and/or may write just their vows if wished. Furthermore, Couple agrees to have ceremony vows selected and submitted to Officiant no later than seven (7) days prior to wedding date. Not having ceremony vows on time, will result in Officiant using a scripted ceremony vow of Officiant’s choice.

Photo/Video Release. The Couple permit the use of images and videos of the Couple from any portion of the ceremony day for the display, publication, or other promotional uses without payment of additional compensation to the Couple. The Couple’s guests at the event shall be deemed to have consented to the use of their name, image/video, or likeness by the Couple and Officiant for the duration of the ceremony, and the Couple shall defend and indemnify the Officiant from any claims that any of the Couple's guests may assert against the Officiant arising from or related to the use of any name, image, video, or likeness of the Couple's guest(s) by the Officiant during the ceremony. The Officiant will publicly attribute photographer or videographer credit if provided by the Couple. The Couple will notify the Officiant via email (carla@mydreamceremony.com) if they do not want photos or video used. The Officiant will reply via email and this reply will serve as acknowledgment that photos or video will not be used.

Discrepancy. The Couple agrees to acknowledge the services being provided by the Officiant, in a dignified and respectful manner and if there is any discrepancy regarding services of Officiant, the Couple must submit a full written report to My Dream Ceremony immediately in order for the parties involved to reach a mutually acceptable resolution. If both parties involved continue to disagree then a mediator will be used. Furthermore, Couple agrees to not post negative reviews on the internet (or elsewhere) or to make negative verbal or written statements until all efforts to resolve said discrepancy have been exhausted.

Limited Liability Cause. Couple agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Officiant of and from any and all claims, demands, losses, causes of action, damage, lawsuits, judgments, including attorneys' fees and costs, to the extent caused by or arising out of or relating to the work of the Officiant (including to falling ill with COVID-19). In no event shall the maximum liability hereunder exceed the amount actually paid to Officiant under this contract. Any disputes or arbitration with respect to this contract shall be held only in the State of California within Riverside County, in accordance with California law.

Cancellation from Officiant. In the unlikely event that the Officiant is unable to perform the ceremony for unforeseen reason (i.e. hospitalization, auto accident, and/or transportation breakdown/disruption), Officiant will provide a replacement, nevertheless if an Officiant cannot be found, then Officiant will make a full refund of any deposit or payment made by the Couple. The Couple agrees that the refund will be the full extent of damages and no further damages may be sought against the Officiant, or any persons affiliated with My Dream Ceremony.

Cancellation from Couple. This contract will guarantee the Officiant’s availability for the Couples’ wedding date and time; thus preventing the Officiant from booking another wedding at the same date and time. If for any reason, a decision is made not to use the services of the Officiant (for any reason), the Couple must inform the Officiant in writing at carla@mydreamceremony.com, at least thirty (30) days prior to the wedding date in order to release the Couple from this contract. If the Couple fails to provide such notice, the Couple agrees to be responsible for the remaining balance due. Officiant will make every effort to come to a resolution. Therefore, please communicate with your Officiant regarding your concerns. Exceptions can be made if no business has been lost reserving your wedding date.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto agree to the terms and conditions as described above and have caused this Contract to be signed on the dates indicated on this contract. The parties agree that the specifics of the agreed ceremony shall be considered a part of this contract after signing.
